Sometimes, it’s okay to be alone

For some reason, we believe that if we are not busy, doing all kinds of activities with friends, we are broken. The truth is that it’s important to have time alone and other times with friends. We need to be with ourselves and feel comfortable with who and how we are. While we are not made to live in isolation, we are made to stand alone as the persons we are; to come to appreciate our gifts, talents, hopes, and dreams. As we become stronger in ourselves and embrace our core selves we become even more ready and able to join with others, not out of need, but out of want.
